Accidents and illnesses happen every day. Some people need a helping hand while others suffer serious permanent injuries. By learning Secondary Care (first aid) course skills you can provide important care to those in need.

You’ll be learning skills, based on the consensus view of the Basic Life Support (BLS) Working Group of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). In addition, the programme is based on established instructional design and meets the criteria for the Appointed First Aider award.

Secondary Care (First Aid) Course

Emergency First Response Secondary Care (first aid) covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.

  • Injury Assessment
  • Illness Assessment
  • Bandaging
  • Splinting for Dislocations and Fractures

Training courses are available at your choice of venue for 8-16 spaces
*Please note, the Secondary First Aid course can only be completed after attending the Primary First Aid Course.
